Brown eyes will have flecks. To make the eye, select a Sphere3D from the tool menu and press Make Creatting 3D to make it a true 3D object that we of them should be active.

Creating a Photorealistic 3D Eye (Timelapse)
This is a quick tutorial on realistic eye materials in ZBrush. First we spray a bloody red color all over and fade it up to the Iris. Then drag out some vein stamps to quickly add detail and fill it out. My final step was to use the veiny looking alpha and drag rectangle to put the veins on the eye but I didn't use straight red, it was a little.

I painted the colors and patterns in Zbrush using polypaint and did some balancing with Photoshop as well as create a mask to make Color Variations. Aside from the textures I created in ZBrush for the iris, I also created a texture for the sclera with a mask for the iris. These are the models I used for Hanza. Its also an aspect of the human eye and gives the iris a distinct look from all angles.
